Emily Antolic

Hi,
I’m Emily
Antolic

Fiction writer. Mostly dark comedy crime, sometimes with surreal elements, always dialogue-driven, and inspired by classic pulp-fiction.

About Me

Hi! I’m Emily.

I live in a mountain cove with a man, a girl, and a murder of crows.

When I was eight years old, I wrote my first book. It involved a summer camp, a rabid dog, and ketchup packets. The craft of writing and the art of storytelling had its hooks in me early, but I took many, many side-quests before returning to my first passion. I studied psychology and earned a Masters degree in the field; ran sleep and decision making research labs; conducted research for the Army; managed healthcare projects for a non-profit; worked as a culinary instructor and chef.

When writing fiction, I draw from disjointed experiences, add some creativity, and a dash of weirdness, and find joy in the juxtaposition of it all.

Sidebar—Although the birds haven’t yet gifted me with sparkling treasures, the crows do graciously warn me when the coyotes or bears are in the street.
